Problem
Monthly staff rosters for a large retail network, subject to working-time rules and fair-allocation constraints.
What was built
- A scheduling tool built on integer programming (CBC solver), encoding working-time rules, fair duty allocation, and employee wellbeing.
- Requirements analysis with the client, plus testing and solver tuning.
Outcome
Deployed to production across ~1,500 stores and ~6,000 employees.
